Sports tickets can be a real pain to get for a big game last minute and for most fans that is what they are left with. The tickets always go on sale for all the games of the season on one date and the big games will sell out in hours. Not to mention the improvisational nature of the games one never knows months ahead of time how the season will play out. For example take a look at the Patriots and the Giants NFL game. Sure everyone knows that Boston and New York City have a huge rivalry that transcends sports, but since the Patriots where going for their unbeaten season record the sports tickets become one of the most in demand of the year. In a way this is a bad example because it was the last regular season game and it was two cities in a long time rivalry which would have made it a desired sports tickets months ago when the wise and planned fans ate them up when they went on sale, but no body could have predicted that this game would become one of the hardest and most expensive sports tickets of the year. No one could have predicted that the Patriots would be set to have an undefeated season and the Giants would have a chance to stop football history from being made on their turf. This made the sports tickets sell for thousands and thousands of dollars per seat and was set to be the biggest sports game of the year, not just in football. The ones who planned ahead and purchased their sports tickets for the game back when they went on sale either got to see a great historical football game at face value cost or got to make a ton of money by selling the tickets and watching from home.
