Most of the friends I hang around with are related to music in one way or another. Most of them are percussionists (including me). I have played many instruments like drums, bongo etc. But never did I come across the “tabla drum”. However, to my surprise, one of my friends brought a “tabla drum” for me from Nepal. Personally, I fell in love with the “tabla drum’ the moment I started playing it. Its sound quality is simply superb. There were two individual drums which together from the “tabla drum’. The larger drum is basically for bass while the smaller one is for creating sound of high pitches. This instrument is truly exceptional.
