Broadway tickets can be a hit or miss when going to New York City without them in ones hands. If hoping to just show up to the doors of a theater and purchase tickets for one of the huge shows then odds are there will be no seats left. There are a ton of hit musicals and plays but for the big ones the seats can be sold out many times ahead of time. If wanting to catch a less popular show then the chances are good that you will be able to purchase the Broadway tickets right at the door the day of the performance. If wanting to see one of the hugely popular musicals or plays the only way to get the Broadway tickets if the show is sold out is to try and locate a ticket broker. This will cost a pretty penny more and with the high demand and last moment nature the expense can be a lot. This is a great way to get a real ticket and not deal with any hassles if money is no problem, but if looking to keep on a budget purchasing Broadway tickets this way will surely throw one off of it. Try catching a matinee if in the city early enough. Matinees sell out far less then evening shows and this gives the best chance of catching a popular musical or play last minute and still only having to pay face value cost for the Broadway tickets.
